The AOC WS Systems Engineer SME joins the team to manage the engineering, sustainment, and integration of the Air Operations Center Weapon System baseline across global locations. This role involves coordinating technical actions within engineering teams, performing hardware and software system deployment, and conducting root cause analysis for identified problems. The position requires managing configuration management tools like CPMR/CNIMT, supporting Change Review Boards, and executing security engineering activities using DISA SCAP, HBSS, and ACAS. Key responsibilities include infrastructure sustainment for server, compute, storage, and network components while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The role addresses the technical challenge of maintaining a complex Department of Defense command and control environment. Required skills include C2 Systems, Enterprise Systems Engineering, System Integration, and experience with GOTS/COTS integration, XML tagging, and Agile Release Events within a classified infrastructure.
Manage the engineering, sustainment, and integration of the AOC Weapon System baseline across global locations.
Perform hardware and software deployment, tuning, and systems administration for server, compute, storage, and network infrastructure.
Conduct technical evaluations on requirement changes and perform root cause analysis to resolve complex system issues.
Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and support Configuration Control Boards (CCB) using specialized tracking tools.
Execute security engineering activities including maintaining security posture, performing ACAS scans, and managing POA&M entries.
Coordinate the fielding and installation of baseline releases across enterprise sites as a Permanent On-Site Support Engineer.
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for help desk escalations and complex system requests.
What we're looking for
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active Top Secret security clearance is required; TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in an Operations Center or C2 environment.
7+ years of experience in DoW weapons system engineering, sustainment, or integration; direct AOC WS experience is preferred.
8+ years of experience in Training, Engineering, Program, or Project Management in a military or civilian environment.
5+ years of experience with DoW systems integration, infrastructure sustainment, security engineering, or related technical disciplines in a classified environment.
Experience supporting competitive proposal development and technical solution writing for large-scale weapons system acquisitions is highly desired.
