AISR NOC Technician III joins the Airborne, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operations Support Cell to provide 24x7x365 support for GIG capabilities and Defense Information System Network services. This role involves triaging ticket queues, monitoring network events in real-time, and performing incident correlation and fault analysis to resolve alarm conditions. The technician will identify root causes, coordinate with service providers for circuit rerouting, and maintain a known error database. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and circuits while providing situational awareness to leadership. The position requires expertise in routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, and Optical Switching. Candidates must possess a Secret clearance, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, and experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, and performance management within complex network topologies.
Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time across multiple monitoring tools on a 24/7 basis.
Triage, manage, and provide guidance for the ticket queue to resolve technical issues.
Perform incident correlation and fault analysis to identify root causes and impact of alarm conditions.
Troubleshoot and isolate failed network elements including systems, hardware, software, circuits, and facilities.
Correct or replace faulty network components and coordinate with service providers to restore services.
Execute rerouting and normalization of services and circuits due to outages or degradation.
Maintain a centralized known error database containing defects, failures, and documented workarounds.
Provide technical advice and situational awareness to leadership and the community regarding significant events.
What we're looking for
Must possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
High school diploma required.
2-4 years of experience required.
Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management.
Advanced knowledge in four or more of: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, or Optical Switching.
General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
