AI/ML Lead Data Engineer, Automation/Image Processing

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable high-performance data pipelines for processing large volumes of scanned document images.
• Architect end-to-end data solutions on AWS to manage image flow through OCR processing and downstream extraction.
• Develop preprocessing and OCR integration pipelines to normalize, enhance, and batch documents for computer vision models.
• Build and optimize storage architectures using Oracle databases and AWS services to index and retrieve extracted metadata.
• Deploy and scale containerized microservices and data components using AWS EKS and Kubernetes.
• Curate and manage high-quality training datasets in collaboration with data scientists and ML engineers.
• Establish data quality, lineage, governance, and security frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance for sensitive information.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers while establishing coding standards and CI/CD workflows.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in Data Engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Java, Groovy, and Python for building pipelines and backend services.
• Experience with image file handling including TIF/PNG processing and OCR integration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) using Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle databases, including PL/SQL, performance tuning, and data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
