The AI/ML Engineer joins the national security and cyber analytics team to train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data. This role involves owning the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit machine learning algorithms to support cyber and intelligence workflows. You will collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product owners to design scalable ML components, structured and unstructured data pipelines, and production-ready inference services. Key technical requirements include Python-based ML workflows, feature engineering, model evaluation, and data preprocessing. The role utilizes tools such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform. You will solve real-world challenges in cyber analytics, threat intelligence, malware triage, and digital forensics, while integrating ML components into mission systems using cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models that learn from large datasets.
Define the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and technologies.
Design and deliver scalable ML components and production-ready inference services.
Build and maintain structured and unstructured data pipelines for large-scale ingestion.
Conduct statistical analyses on business processes using machine learning techniques.
Integrate ML components into mission systems using Python-based workflows and APIs.
Guide clients through the selection and implementation of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience developing, training, tuning, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
Experience building Python-based ML workflows using frameworks.
Experience collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams to integrate ML components into mission systems.
Knowledge of feature engineering, model evaluation, data preprocessing, and large-scale structured or unstructured ingestion.
Ability to build or contribute to ML pipelines, APIs, and inference services integrated with cloud or on-prem systems.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in technical management or program management, Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in technical management or program management, or 12+ years of experience in technical management or program management in lieu of a degree.
Experience with RAG, GenAI, multimodal models, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Kafka, MLOps, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, cyber analytics, Kubernetes, or AWS certifications (preferred).
