The AI Security Architecture- VP reports to the Managing Director of AI Security and Data Protection to lead the design and oversight of secure architecture patterns, standards, and guardrails for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions. You will build secure architecture patterns for data pipelines, model access, APIs, agents, and retrieval-augmented generation while performing AI-focused threat modeling to address risks like prompt injection and data leakage. You will utilize cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and identity and access management to embed security controls into software development. The role requires translating complex risks into practical requirements aligned with NIST, ISO, and FFIEC concepts. You will provide architecture oversight for generative AI tools and internal services to ensure resilience and regulatory readiness in a complex enterprise environment.
Design and implement secure architecture patterns for AI, machine learning, and generative AI systems.
Define enterprise AI security reference architectures, technical standards, and guardrails.
Lead architecture and design reviews to ensure security and privacy are incorporated early in the solution lifecycle.
Perform AI-focused threat modeling to address risks like data leakage, prompt injection, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
Translate identified risks into practical security requirements, mitigation strategies, and compensating controls.
Embed AI security controls into software development, DevSecOps, and model deployment workflows.
Develop validation criteria and repeatable assurance patterns for AI platforms and third-party services.
Ensure AI security designs align with internal policies and external regulatory standards like NIST and ISO.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced degree in a related discipline (preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including security architecture, application security, product security, cloud security, or security engineering.
CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, cloud security, architecture, or comparable industry certifications (preferred).
Deep technical expertise in security architecture, secure design, application security, cloud security, product security, data protection, and modern engineering practices.
Practical understanding of AI/ML architectures, generative AI, model and data pipelines, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI security risk patterns.
Experience leading architecture reviews, threat modeling, technical risk assessments, and secure-by-design programs in complex enterprise environments.
Experience securing enterprise-scale platforms in regulated environments and communicating technical risk to engineering and senior leadership audiences.
