JOB TITLE: AI Security Architecture, VP
The AI Security Architecture, VP serves as a senior technical leader reporting to the Managing Director, AI Security and Data Protection. This role defines enterprise security architecture strategy, patterns, and guardrails for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions. You will lead the design of secure architecture patterns for data pipelines, model access, APIs, agents, and retrieval-augmented generation. Key responsibilities include performing AI-focused threat modeling to address data leakage and prompt injection, while translating regulatory expectations into practical security requirements. You will utilize cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and identity and access management tools. The role solves the complex problem of ensuring emerging AI capabilities are secure by design, scalable, and compliant within a highly regulated enterprise environment while protecting client trust and data integrity.
Define the enterprise AI security architecture strategy, roadmap, and target-state design for ML and generative AI.
Design and implement secure architecture patterns for data pipelines, model access, APIs, and orchestration layers.
Establish and govern enterprise AI security reference architectures, technical standards, and guardrails.
Lead architecture and design reviews for high-risk AI initiatives to ensure security and privacy requirements.
Conduct AI-focused threat modeling to address risks like data leakage, prompt injection, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
Embed AI security controls into software development, DevSecOps, model deployment, and incident response workflows.
Establish repeatable assurance and validation criteria for AI platforms, models, and third-party services.
Advise senior leadership on technical risks, architecture options, investment priorities, and residual exposure.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including security architecture, application security, product security, cloud security, or security engineering.
CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, cloud security, architecture, or comparable industry certifications (preferred).
Extensive technical leadership experience in security architecture, secure design, cloud security, and modern engineering practices.
Deep practical understanding of AI/ML architectures, generative AI, LLMs, data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.
Significant experience leading architecture reviews, threat modeling, and secure-by-design programs in large, complex, regulated enterprises.
Proven ability to mentor senior practitioners, establish architecture governance, and communicate technical risk to senior leadership.
