JOB TITLE: Principal AI Security Architect
The Principal AI Security Architect joins the AI Security organization to enable safe enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence. This hands-on architecture role involves defining security architecture, governance patterns, and technology guardrails for AI platforms, agentic systems, and digital coworkers. The architect will create artifacts like solution diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and reference architectures while partnering with engineering, identity, data, and risk teams. Key responsibilities include conducting threat modeling, developing security patterns for RAG architectures and MCP integrations, and establishing model access controls. Required skills include expertise in identity and access management, cloud security, and Microsoft Azure. The role solves the technical challenge of balancing innovation with security by translating complex policies into practical engineering requirements for generative AI and LLM applications within a regulated financial services environment.
Serve as the lead security architect for AI, agentic AI, cloud, and emerging technology initiatives.
Review solution designs to identify security requirements, architectural risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop security artifacts including solution diagrams, data-flow diagrams, reference architectures, and design standards.
Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for AI systems and supporting technology platforms.
Define security patterns for AI agents, RAG architectures, model access control, and AI observability.
Build and maintain a library of reusable AI security reference architectures and architectural decision records.
Research emerging AI technologies and evaluate new platforms, frameworks, and third-party solutions.
Translate security policies and control objectives into practical engineering requirements for delivery teams.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in security architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience designing and reviewing complex enterprise technology solutions.
Strong understanding of identity and access management, cloud security, application security, network security, API security, data protection, logging, monitoring, and secrets management.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
Ability to produce architecture diagrams and technical design documentation.
Experience facilitating architecture reviews and working across multiple stakeholder groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
