The AI Security Architecture- VP leads the design and oversight of secure architecture patterns, standards, and guardrails for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI solutions across the enterprise. Reporting to the Managing Director, AI Security and Data Protection, this role involves building secure data pipelines, model access, APIs, and retrieval-augmented generation systems. You will perform AI-focused threat modeling to address risks like prompt injection, data leakage, and supply chain vulnerabilities. Key responsibilities include leading architecture reviews, defining technical standards, and embedding security controls into DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows. Required expertise includes cloud-native architectures, large language models, identity and access management, and data protection. You must ensure designs align with NIST, ISO, and FFIEC concepts while translating complex technical risks into practical requirements for engineering and business stakeholders.
Design and implement secure architecture patterns for AI, machine learning, and generative AI systems.
Define and maintain enterprise AI security reference architectures, technical standards, and guardrails.
Lead architecture and design reviews to ensure security and privacy requirements are met early in the lifecycle.
Perform AI-focused threat modeling to address risks like data leakage, prompt injection, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
Translate identified risks into practical security requirements, mitigation strategies, and risk-based architecture decisions.
Embed AI security controls into software development, DevSecOps, model development, and monitoring workflows.
Develop validation criteria and repeatable assurance patterns for AI platforms, pipelines, and third-party services.
Ensure AI security designs align with internal policies and external regulatory standards like NIST and ISO.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including security architecture, application security, product security, cloud security, or security engineering.
CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, cloud security, architecture, or comparable industry certifications (preferred).
Deep technical expertise in security architecture, secure design, application security, cloud security, product security, data protection, and modern engineering practices.
Practical understanding of AI/ML architectures, generative AI, model and data pipelines, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI security risk patterns.
Experience leading architecture reviews, threat modeling, technical risk assessments, and secure-by-design programs in complex enterprise environments.
Experience securing enterprise-scale platforms and applications in regulated environments while communicating technical risk to engineering and senior leadership.
