As an AI Policy and Regulatory Change - Senior Associate in the HR Chief Data Office, you will support the responsible growth of technology by managing governance, review, and implementation of AI use cases aligned with internal standards and applicable laws. You will execute work related to regulatory change, requirements gathering, backlog management, delivery tracking, and quality reviews. Your daily tasks involve assessing emerging regulations like the European Union AI Act and CCPA, translating these into practical HR controls, and performing vendor due diligence. You will maintain guardrails for fairness, transparency, and bias testing while coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security teams. The role requires skills in risk assessment, issue management, and control design to address complex data privacy and model risk challenges within the specific domain of human resources technology and automated decision-making systems.
Support the implementation of laws and regulations regarding HR use cases for artificial intelligence.
Assess new regulatory requirements and develop action plans through the legal and regulatory change management process.
Manage compliance programs for AI and data privacy, including the EU AI Act and CCPA requirements.
Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical HR controls, process documentation, and implementation plans.
Conduct AI use-case reviews involving model risk alignment, vendor due diligence, and issue remediation.
Maintain HR guardrails regarding fairness, transparency, bias testing, and data minimization standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, track deliverables, and document governance decisions.
Prepare status updates, meeting materials, and audit-ready documentation for management and governance forums.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience supporting compliance, risk, controls, regulatory change, data governance, privacy, technology risk, or related programs in the financial services industry.
Working knowledge of issue management, control design, control testing, operational effectiveness, or risk assessment activities.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners including Legal, Compliance, Controls, Technology, and other stakeholders.
Analytical, issue-spotting, and problem-solving skills to translate complex topics into clear business, risk, and control considerations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing documentation, meeting notes, status updates, and executive-ready summaries.
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities across a global business environment.
Foundational knowledge of AI regulations, responsible AI principles, data privacy, model risk, or emerging technology governance.
Experience with HR processes, workforce technology, or project management tools (preferred).
