The role requires expertise in contact photolithography, resist coating, and wet etching within contamination-controlled environments. You will utilize data-driven problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, A3, 8D, FMEA, DOE, and statistical process control to resolve technical issues and ensure high-performance manufacturing of advanced chip components.

What you'll do

  • Own and drive lithography process performance to ensure safety, quality, yield, and stability.
  • Develop and maintain process control strategies, acceptance criteria, and monitoring methods.
  • Analyze process performance metrics to support technical decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations and resolve process-related issues, deviations, and escalations.
  • Execute data-driven initiatives to reduce variation and increase first-pass yield.
  • Identify and mitigate process-related safety risks in partnership with Environmental, Health and Safety teams.
  • Create technical documentation including work instructions, qualification reports, and test plans.
  • Support daily production operations and new product introductions through cross-functional collaboration.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in semiconductor, optics, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with contact photolithography, resist coating, and wet etching in contamination-controlled environments.
  • Ability to perform data-driven problem solving and identify root causes using structured methods.
  • Proficiency in working within cleanroom and manufacturing environments while interacting directly with hardware.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and common manufacturing tools like DMAIC, A3, 8D, FMEA, or DOE.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across engineering, operations, and management levels.
  • Authorization to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
