Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

What you'll do

• Design precision assembly and measurement processes for new products using advanced engineering principles.
• Research and develop new technologies to solve complex assembly and automation problems.
• Design, implement, and scale automated and semi-automated manufacturing solutions.
• Create RFQs and RFPs documenting design requirements, delivery schedules, and qualification criteria for machine suppliers.
• Lead machine qualification activities including correlation, process capability (CP/CPK), and Gage Repeatability/Reproducibility (GR&R).
• Conduct failure analysis and resolve technical issues in collaboration with machine suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Run equipment experiments to determine machine capabilities and provide data analysis reports to multi-functional teams.
• Provide manufacturing involvement from the concept phase through production support for complex testing methods.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
• Master's degree in an Engineering field (preferred).
• Knowledge of machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis (preferred).
• Understanding of build tolerance analysis for parts and assemblies (preferred).
• Experience in new product introduction, manufacturing operations, cost reduction, project management, and engineering design (preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software like NX, SolidWorks, or ProE; knowledge of GD&T principles (preferred).
• Knowledge of laser welding, robotics, pneumatics, motion controllers, PLC/PC systems, JMP, Minitab, or Six Sigma (preferred).
