The Enterprise AI team within Office of CTO is a centralized, high impact group responsible for developing, scaling, and evangelizing AI capabilities across Lam Research. The team partners closely with product managers, engineering teams, business units to deliver AI-enabled solutions that drive measurable business value and accelerate Lam’s digital transformation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Data Science / AI / ML Lead to lead the development of advanced AI/ML solutions, including but not limited to statistical modeling, computer vision, LLM/RAG workflows, optimization, and domain-specific modeling. This role works closely with product managers, forward deployed engineers, data engineers and AI/ML development engineers, translating high priority business challenges into robust, secure and explainable AI solutions aligned to business needs.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills, enabling them to act as a technical advisor, evangelist, and multiplier for AI capabilities across Lam.

What you’ll do

AI/ML Technical Leadership

  • Develop, evaluate, and deploy state‑of‑the‑art ML/AI models including traditional ML, deep learning, computer vision, time-series forecasting, and LLM‑based systems.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade ontologies that model the complex domain of semiconductor engineering.
  • Guide the use of OOTB foundation models and platforms, while leading development of custom solutions when needed (e.g., vision models, domain‑specific fine‑tuning).
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with business requirements and value-driven mindset.

Technical Execution & Modeling Excellence

  • Perform advanced data analysis using statistical and scientific methods; build proof‑of‑concept models that scale to production deployments. Mine and analyze large-scale datasets to drive operational insights, optimization opportunities, and KPI improvements.
  • Work with domain experts and ML engineers to develop feature stores, automated pipelines, and efficient MLOps workflows to speed up experimentation & model serving
  • Design and integrate ontology aware retrieval and reasoning (e.g., schema‑aware RAG, graph‑augmented retrieval, controlled vocabularies for prompts and tools) that grounds AI/ML systems (including LLMs, RAG pipelines, agents, and traditional ML) in consistent, machine‑interpretable business meaning.
  • Establish measurable success criteria for ontology effectiveness (e.g., reduced ambiguity, improved retrieval accuracy, explainability, reuse across use cases)

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with platform teams to deploy scalable models using cloud infrastructure (e.g., Databricks, Azure ML, Azure foundry, feature stores, model registries).
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate models into applications and product workflows.
  • Support internal communities of practice; mentor data scientists and engineers to propagate best practices.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to business units on AI best practices, solution patterns, and technology selection.
  • Develop and deliver training, demos, and internal enablement resources to uplift AI proficiency across Lam.

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong in presenting data and analysis in a visually intuitive way to a broad set of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
  • Demonstrated breadth of understanding applicability of various ML/DL methods to various domains (e.g. time-series, vision etc.)
  • Solid understanding of various ML and DL frameworks and in-depth understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Transformer architectures — including attention mechanisms, encoder–decoder designs, and fine‑tuning foundational models for NLP, CV, or multi‑modal tasks.
  • Hands‑on experience building and optimizing Transformer‑based systems, including RAG pipelines, embedding models, vector databases, and efficient inference techniques.
  • Deep expertise in ontology design, semantic modeling, knowledge graphs, or domain-driven data models.
  • Hands-on experience with semantic modeling standards and techniques (e.g., ontology schemas, taxonomies, semantic constraints) and their practical application in enterprise AI systems.
  • Strong programming experience in python with demonstrated experience in package development (or open-source projects, hackathons etc.)
  • Strong in data/feature engineering with Pandas/PySpark etc.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $166,000.00 -  $350,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.

What You Will Do

The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for the design and build of the systems and services that enables Oracle to deliver industry-leading availability and performance objectives for Oracle’s SaaS services. The team architects and develops high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack – infrastructure, database, platform, and application services – and all the dependent components. The engineering innovations enable SaaS services to be available to customers without any disruptions even during large-scale incidents. We are building the next-gen service continuity solutions in a fast-pace and innovative environment and looking or architects who can design and develop services that operate at scale.  As a Senior Principal Engineer (Architect) you will be responsible for ensuring that our SaaS services are designed and built with the highest level of availability and resiliency in mind. Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
  • 10+ years experience in system/application architecture/design along with database, infrastructure and networking experience
  • 6+ years software development experience in a distributed cloud engineering environment
  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in SaaS or PaaS engineering
  • Experience in building large scale applications and services
  • Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Card Management team, you will help design and develop tooling and infrastructure to manage a growing fleet of embedded Linux systems. You will be one of the engineers responsible for delivering a highly available, and secure fleet of critical SDN infrastructure.
Our team owns onboarding new generation network technologies, deployment tooling, patching, monitoring, automation, access controls, and metrics reporting. We are a nexus with many partner teams and work across OCI to support their applications on our platform.

Role Overview
As a Site Deployment Specialist – BMS, you will deliver BMS deployments for new and retrofit facilities, ensuring reliable monitoring, control, and alarm functionality in hyperscale environments. You will coordinate vendors and internal teams through design, build, commissioning, and turnover, with strong attention to security, standards, and operational usability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own BMS deployment execution across requirements, design coordination, vendor management, installation oversight, testing, commissioning support, and go-live stabilization.
  • Define and validate BMS sequences and strategies supporting high availability across HVAC and critical infrastructure monitoring.
  • Integrate BMS with adjacent platforms such as DCIM, OT/IT networks, and site monitoring/automation systems.
  • Provide escalation-level troubleshooting for complex integration and commissioning issues; document root causes and corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain BMS standards for naming, alarming, trend requirements, response expectations, and cybersecurity controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain protection and controls standards
  • Define the protection and controls philosophy, including scheme selection, coordination principles, operating assumptions, and expected system behavior under normal and abnormal conditions
  • Review protection design packages, including single line diagrams, relaying and metering diagrams, schematics, logic, and commissioning and test procedures performed by developers, EPCs, OEMs, and consultants, and drive closure on technical gaps and open items
  • Develop, validate, and maintain relay settings, protection logic, and protection documentation across protection zones and operating modes
  • Experience supporting post-event analysis using oscillography, SER, and disturbance records, and translating findings into durable corrective actions
  • Lead protection-related troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; assess existing facilities and recommend upgrades and replacements
  • Partner with operations and design engineering teams to improve reliability outcomes, standard adoption, and consistency across the portfolio

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10–15 years of protection and controls engineering experience across substations, HV/MV Systems, and large campus electrical systems
  • Demonstrated experience protecting on-site generation (rotating and inverter-based) and supporting microgrid operating modes, including grid-connected and islanded operation and transitions
  • Experience developing and reviewing relay settings, protection logic, and commissioning test plans
  • Familiarity with IEEE standards and utility interconnection practices; NERC exposure as applicable to site context

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with IEC 61850, relay messaging, time synchronization, and integration through RTAC/SCADA

Job Description

Role Overview 

As Facilities Manager supporting our Mechanical Facilities, you will lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical mechanical systems supporting OCI data centers. This role owns mechanical maintenance execution, vendor performance, operational readiness, and technician leadership across cooling and HVAC infrastructure. 

You will oversee the operation and maintenance of systems such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, fan walls, pumps, etc and associated controls, ensuring uptime is protected and work is executed safely, consistently, and to Oracle standards. This role is focused on plant operations and service execution rather than long-range design authority. 

Key Responsibilities 

Lead daily operations, maintenance, and service execution for critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure. 

  • Own mechanical plant readiness, including preventive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, and restoration activities.
  • Single POC as the technical lead for all mechanical systems, including incident escalation.
  • Manage technicians, contractors, and service vendors, ensuring strong safety performance, quality, documentation, and SLA adherence.
  • Drive troubleshooting and response for mechanical failures, abnormal conditions, and performance degradation impacting uptime.
  • Track and improve KPIs such as availability, backlog, MTTR, repeat failures, maintenance completion, and corrective action closure.
  • Partner with engineering, commissioning, and deployment teams on retrofits, upgrades, system turnover, and operational acceptance.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis for major or recurring issues and ensure corrective actions are fully implemented and sustained.
  • Maintain audit-ready records including procedures, service reports, maintenance history, turnover documentation, and CMMS data.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance leadership, technical services, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers, service teams, or vendor organizations in data centers, utilities, industrial plants, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, or similar uptime-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including cooling systems, HVAC, power distribution, backup generation, UPS, switchgear, and related maintenance and service workflows.
  • Proven experience leading maintenance execution, vendor performance, service operations, and restoration support in 24x7 operating environments.
  • Experience establishing performance metrics, operational governance, and standardized service practices across multiple teams, functions, or sites.

Job Description

Role Summary

Join a high-impact Agile team supporting one of the nation’s largest electronic healthcare modernization programs. The Instructional Designer and Developer (IDD) leads complex learning initiatives supporting a large-scale Federal electronic healthcare program. This role assesses training needs for complex workflows, workflow adoption, and defines blended learning solutions and approaches, ensures scalability and innovation across the learning product lifecycle, aligned to the client’s operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify complex learning needs assessments and learning solution design and development across various learning modalities.

• Assess, design, develop, and maintain learning products, including but not limited to assessments, job aids, performance support, eLearning/CBT/LMS, ILT/vILT, and webinars, supporting enterprise deployments, sustainment, and client requirements.

• Apply advanced instructional design, adult learning principles, performance support strategies, and content subject matter knowledge to the full learning product lifecycle; including but not limited to iterative update based on evaluation and deployment data and stakeholder and SME feedback.

• Drive responsible and strategic use of AI across learning design, development, and operational optimization.

• Ensure all learning products comply with Section 508 requirements, quality standards, and organizational compliance policies for all learning solutions and LMS deployments; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Partner with project leadership and internal and external stakeholders and SMEs to ensure site-based training readiness and deployment success.

• Provide guidance and support to Agile learning team members.

• Effectively communicate the status of learning products to internal and external stakeholders, promptly identifying and communicating potential obstacles to leadership,to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

• Operate effectively in Agile and continuous delivery environments.

Required Skills

• Advanced instructional design (e.g., ADDIE/SAM) and development across blended modalities for enterprise learning solutions.

• Advanced learning solution design for large-scale technology implementations.

• Proficient in the development conversion of learning assets (i.e., Captivate to Articulate Storyline).

• Deep application of learning science and adult learning strategies.

• Advanced learning systems thinking and learning product lifecycle management.

• Strategic use of AI for innovation, efficiency, and scalability of learning solutions.

• Executive-level stakeholder engagement and communication.

• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Advanced proficiency in managing multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Agile environments.

• Advanced proficiency in content upload, deployment and tracking for Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Advanced proficiency to design, develop, and troubleshoot learning solutions, ensuring that they meet Section 508 requirements and quality and compliance standards.

• Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Captivate, SCORM/xAPI packages, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

• At least 6 years of combined related work experience and completed higher education, including: instructional design, adult learning principles, Section 508, supporting learningsolution programs, preferably for health care information technology (HCIT) with a major healthcare organization or large-scale IT transformation project.

• Experience working in regulated or federal environments preferred.

• PMP and/or ATD/ISPI certification preferred.

• Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Can travel to customer sites, if required.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
