This role involves partnering with multidisciplinary teams to characterize materials, investigate structure-property relationships, and resolve technical hurdles using advanced analytical technologies. The scientist will design rigorous experiments, interpret complex data, and contribute to the digital transformation of laboratory workflows by integrating measurements into connected systems. Key responsibilities include developing analytical methods and applying chemometrics, machine learning, and data science to extract value from scientific data. Required expertise includes a PhD in a relevant field and a strong foundation in vibrational spectroscopy, specifically infrared and Raman techniques. Preferred skills include experience with UV-Visible-NIR, chemical imaging, polymer characterization, and programming in Python, MATLAB, or R to solve complex material problems.
