What you'll do

Architect solutions integrating commercial Qualcomm System on Chip processors into U.S. Government applications.
Design 5G signal processing systems covering the air interface from L1 PHY to L2/L3 layers.
Develop and run simulations in Matlab to determine link budget, performance, and trade-offs for novel solutions.
Process IQ samples and implement techniques such as modulation, channel coding, and error correction.
Analyze 3GPP standards to evaluate tradeoffs between modem architecture design and implementation.
Create comprehensive system design documentation for government-focused communication technologies.
Apply advanced communication theory and mathematics to develop algorithms for 5G or other waveforms.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.
A current or active Top Secret (TS/SI) security clearance is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of systems engineering experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of systems engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of cellular (5G NR) PHY/MAC/RLC/PDCP layers and deep expertise in cellular signal processing.
Proficiency in Matlab to develop simulation code for modem subsystems and determine link budget performance.
Ability to navigate 3GPP standards and produce high-quality system design documentation.
