Quality Control Pharmacy Technician

What you'll do

• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair automated pharmacy equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and use statistical process control to improve production quality and safety.
• Monitor medication expiration dates and conduct physical inspections to maintain strict quality standards.
• Manage inventory by performing cycle counts, processing recalls, and handling hazardous waste.
• Execute prescription fulfillment tasks including weighing, counting, labeling, and packaging medications for distribution.
• Maintain accurate records of pharmacy data, inventory levels, and process improvement reports.
• Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company safety standards.

What we're looking for

• Must meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician including any required registration or licensure.
• Must hold an active and valid national certification from the PTCE or ExCPT.
• Requires 6 months of experience in a pharmacy environment such as central fill, specialty, retail, or mail order.
• Requires 1 year of experience performing clerical tasks and using computer applications like Microsoft Office.
• Experience performing pharmacy quality control responsibilities like inspections and calibration is preferred.
• Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot automated pharmacy equipment and inventory management systems.
• Must perform medication quality control including monitoring expiration dates, product rotation, and physical checks.
• Must ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding prescription fulfillment and safety.
