WSoC PHY/MAC Validation and Integration Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, integrate, and validate PHY layer components for wireless communication protocols like Bluetooth and UWB.
• Implement and optimize DSP algorithms for signal modulation, demodulation, filtering, and error correction.
• Conduct FPGA and chip-level bring-up, including power-on testing and debugging of PHY/RF/MAC functionalities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve chip-level integration issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Design, execute, and automate directed PHY/MAC testing scripts to control RF test equipment and chips.
• Validate and characterize algorithms on real silicon in coordination with RTL, PHY, RF, and MAC designers.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and analyze results to debug system issues.

What we're looking for

• BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience in wireless communications with a focus on PHY layer design and integration (preferred).
• Solid understanding of DSP concepts and experience implementing DSP algorithms in real-time systems (preferred).
• Experience with chip-level bring-up, hardware debugging tools, and techniques (preferred).
• Experience with PHY/RF/MAC Verification (preferred).
• Experience with RF parametric testing such as EVM, ACPR, Rx sensitivity, and blocker testing (preferred).
• Experience with lab equipment including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DMMs (preferred).
• Python programming skills (preferred).
