Workstation Systems Engineer As a Workstation Systems Engineer, you will join the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to architect, engineer, and operate a classified secure workstation enclave. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant access to mission-critical systems while collaborating with engineering leads, cybersecurity specialists, and stakeholders to design and sustain workstation services. Your daily work involves managing Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to maintain standardized configurations. You will also manage core security controls including Identity and Access Management, Configuration/Change Management, and Vulnerability Management. Additionally, you will develop test plans, technical briefings, and product recommendations while maintaining System Security Plans and supporting Continuous Monitoring validation. This role focuses on the specialized domain of securing classified workstation environments within a high-security government infrastructure framework.

What you'll do

Lead the architecture, engineering, and operations of a classified secure workstation enclave.
Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure enclave integrity and performance.
Implement and maintain standardized workstation configurations using MECM and core security controls.
Develop test plans, technical briefings, and product recommendations to improve system architectures.
Maintain and update engineering procedures, artifacts, and playbooks for the workstation environment.
Support Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) validation and prepare for annual security assessments.
Manage System Security Plans (SSPs) and audit documentation in compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks.

What we're looking for

Must possess a current and active Top Secret security clearance.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must have 10 or more years of related experience.
Must hold a DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M compliant certification, such as Security+.
Must possess a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
Must have hands-on engineering expertise with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Must have experience supporting secure workstation enclaves and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs).
