TL;DR · VP, Customer Assurance & Critical Accounts

VP, Customer Assurance & Critical Accounts (Cortex) serves as the executive Incident Commander within the Cortex business unit, focusing on autonomous, AI-driven Security Operations solutions like XDR and XSOAR. This role is responsible for managing high-stakes customer crises, technical outages, and engineering defects for Global 2000 accounts while acting as a direct liaison to C-level executives. The successful candidate will architect the Critical Account Program, building proactive risk frameworks and integrating AI-first operational workflows to automate diagnostics and scale resolution efforts. Key responsibilities include bridging gaps between Engineering, Product Management, and Field Operations to resolve systemic issues. Required expertise includes cloud architecture, enterprise SaaS, and cybersecurity ecosystems. The role demands a leader capable of navigating complex renewals and churn risks while utilizing AIOps tools to streamline critical incident response for high-value enterprise clients.

What you'll do

  • Act as the Executive Incident Commander for high-stakes Sev-1 enterprise account crises and outages.
  • Serve as the primary executive liaison to CISOs and CIOs at Global 2000 accounts to restore trust.
  • Architect a proactive, cloud-centric escalation and account-risk framework for Cortex products.
  • Integrate AI and AIOps workflows into escalation processes to automate diagnostics and scale operations.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to resolve systemic issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Manage commercial risks including renewals, churn, and legal exposure during critical customer incidents.
  • Translate complex technical remediation efforts into clear strategic business communications for executive stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or complex enterprise SaaS environments.
  • 5+ years in senior executive leadership (Director, Senior Director, or VP level) overseeing global escalation, premium support, technical account management, or customer reliability functions.
  • Proven experience personally leading high-profile, Sev-1 enterprise crises involving engineering defects, cloud outages, security concerns, or complex deployment failures for Global 2000 accounts.
  • Track record of building or transforming Critical Account Programs (CAP), proactive account-risk monitoring mechanisms, or executive customer assurance frameworks.
  • Experience engaging and negotiating directly with CISOs, CIOs, and senior technology leaders on complex commercial, technical, and operational issues.
  • Demonstrated history of implementing AI/AIOps technology or automated diagnostic frameworks to drive operational scale in support, engineering, or escalation management environments.
  • Background in leading or collaborating with cross-functional teams spanning Cloud/SaaS Engineering, Product Operations, DevOps, and Executive Leadership.
  • Technical depth in cloud architecture, enterprise SaaS, and security ecosystems to communicate effectively with engineering leadership.
