VP, CIO, Consolidated Nuclear Security

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary lead for all Information Solutions and Services (IS&S) activities within the CNS joint venture.
• Integrate risk-balanced security measures into all IT projects and operations at the Y-12 site.
• Lead managers in the development, implementation, and operation of a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Oversee cyber architecture efforts to enhance detection, analysis, containment, and response capabilities.
• Establish policies and procedures to ensure information confidentiality, integrity, and availability per DOE/NNSA and NIST requirements.
• Manage the cybersecurity program's compliance with federal regulations and provide resources for CISO and security personnel.
• Drive standardization, documentation, and automation to improve cost efficiency across IT systems.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and staff assignments while ensuring high performance standards are met.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking/Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in information systems, cyber operations, and risk management including roles as a CIO.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Specific knowledge of DOE regulations and NIST standards (including NIST Special Publications like 800-53).
• Familiarity with current application models, data analytics, cloud services, and mobility (preferred).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Oak Ridge, TN, during core business hours and perform required travel.
