VistA Pharmacy and Modernization Project Manager, Lead

What you'll do

• Lead multiple software development, modernization, and application-support initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Develop project roadmaps, establish milestones, and track delivery metrics for concurrent initiatives.
• Manage project budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and change-control needs from planning through post-release support.
• Coordinate requirements analysis, solution planning, development, testing, and implementation with technical teams and business owners.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and apply Scrum and SAFe practices to support iterative delivery.
• Oversee VA VistA applications and pharmacy-related capabilities including prescription monitoring and system integrations.
• Communicate project status, risks, and delivery readiness to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support continuous process improvement across project lifecycles.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience managing software development, modernization, or application-support projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Experience managing project schedules, milestones, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and change control across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Knowledge of VA VistA applications and the VistA software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methods, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Ability to coordinate requirements analysis, solution planning, development, testing, implementation, and post-release activities.
• Ability to communicate project status, risks, dependencies, corrective actions, and delivery readiness to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• HS diploma or GED.
