Vision System Development Engineer, GSE Automation

What you'll do

• Design and implement automated visual inspection systems using machine vision cameras, lighting, and image processing algorithms.
• Develop test automation software and frameworks that interface with PLCs, sensors, and mechatronic fixtures for end-of-line validation.
• Build image processing pipelines and classification models to identify defects across various part geometries and surface conditions.
• Architect scalable inspection and test system architectures to support high-throughput manufacturing lines with minimal cycle time impact.
• Create monitoring, alarming, and reporting solutions for inspection health, yield trends, and defect analytics.
• Implement calibration routines, golden sample validation, and statistical process controls to ensure inspection accuracy.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for false calls, test failures, and hardware integration issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for test procedures, inspection recipes, and system configurations.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee for export control compliance.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes (preferred).
