As a Virtuoso Custom CAD Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will provide critical support for digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs using Cadence tools. Your daily work involves managing tool configurations, performing development testing of new tools and flows, and creating technical documentation. You will utilize specific technologies including Cadence Composer Virtuoso, VXL, PCELLs, CDFs, and scripting languages such as SKILL, Perl, and Tcl to support the design of high-performance, power-efficient display and image sensors for integrated circuits.

What you'll do

Provide full support for Cadence custom flows, tool development, installation, and maintenance.
Develop utilities and scripts to support the design team's workflow.
Support Virtuoso Layout and schematic software and release flows based on revision control systems.
Drive design methodologies to increase overall productivity.
Perform tool configuration and application support for digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs.
Participate in test development, automation, and regression flow support.
Create and maintain relevant technical documentation.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience in Python programming and scripting.
Experience in analog and digital new product development IC CAD support using EDA tools (preferred).
Experience supporting Cadence Composer Virtuoso, Layout tools, VXL, PCELLs, and CDFs (preferred).
Experience in programming languages such as DFII, SKILL, Perl, or Tcl (preferred).
Proficiency with Unix/Linux OS, utilities, and scripting (preferred).
Strong oral and written communication skills (preferred).
