Virtualization Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms using Nutanix AOS and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Manage clusters through Prism Element and Prism Central for health monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Execute platform upgrades, firmware updates, and cluster expansions while minimizing service disruptions.
• Troubleshoot complex compute, storage, and networking issues including virtual switches and VLANs.
• Monitor and manage hybrid systems using AWS Systems Manager Fleet Manager and AWS Transform.
• Plan and execute workload migrations and rehosting to Amazon EC2.
• Support disaster recovery through replication, snapshots, and periodic recovery testing.
• Automate routine administration, reporting, and configuration checks using PowerShell.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise virtualization platforms, including Nutanix and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of compute, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience using PowerShell or similar tools to automate routine administration and reporting.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud virtualization services, including AWS Transform and AWS Systems Manager Fleet Manager.
• Basic understanding of AWS Well-Architected principles.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence and eligibility to receive a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Understanding of secure administration practices, access controls, and compliance-focused environments (preferred).
