Vice President - Senior Lead Architect

What you'll do

• Provide solutions architecture direction and decisions for key card present payment products.
• Offer technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis and decisioning.
• Evaluate new technologies against existing standards to influence the adoption of leading-edge solutions.
• Drive decisions regarding product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks and practices.
• Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across the software development toolchain.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on understanding of payments acquiring with a focus on card present transactions, devices, equipment management, and POS solutions.
• Experience in point-of-sale systems and card-present processing.
• Experience in device and estate management.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and deep expertise in software architecture, applications, and technical processes.
• Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits.
• Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
• Experience with in-store or eCommerce merchant payments (preferred).
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend solutions for future state architecture (preferred).
