As the Vice President, Financial Consolidation Reporting Applications Lead within Consumer & Community Banking Finance, you will own critical systems and applications that underpin the financial consolidation process. You will manage day-to-day operations for multiple systems, cubes, and internal data validation platforms to ensure platform availability, data integrity, and reporting readiness during high-impact close, forecast, and planning cycles. Your role involves managing production incident triage, performing data validation and reconciliation, and maintaining operational runbooks while using Jira for work management. You will serve as the primary liaison between finance teams and technology peers to align priorities. The core technical requirements include expertise in Essbase, multidimensional data models, and financial hierarchies. Experience with OLAP technologies like Cognos or Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, along with familiarity with Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Databricks, is highly valued for this role.

What you'll do

  • Manage the systems and applications that support financial consolidation, ensuring platform availability and data integrity during close cycles.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance teams and technology partners to align priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Oversee daily application operations including data loads, hierarchy management, and reporting readiness across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor workflow health and proactively identify risks to ensure consistent and reliable financial data delivery.
  • Lead production incident triage and root-cause remediation for consolidation processing failures during critical periods.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks, process documentation, and reports on system health and improvement metrics.
  • Manage work tracking in Jira by writing epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria for technical teams.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and auditability of consolidated financial results.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Essence, EPM, ERP, and downstream financial consolidation applications in a regulated production environment.
  • Experience owning and supporting enterprise financial consolidation systems including monitoring, access management, incident resolution, and change readiness.
  • Working knowledge of multidimensional data models, financial hierarchies, reference data management, month-end close processes, and security entitlements.
  • Ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, and control checks for consolidated financial results.
  • Experience leading incident management activities including triage, escalation, root-cause analysis, and remediation under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a small team while coordinating cross-functional teams of analysts, developers, and data resources.
  • Experience with OLAP technologies (e.g., Cognos, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services) (preferred).
