Vehicle Engineer Trainer Level 3/4

What you'll do

• Provide mission operations support for satellite programs including on-orbit vehicle and sustaining engineering.
• Resolve system problems and anomalies through data trending, performance analyses, and investigation of unexpected signatures.
• Lead and coordinate systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations.
• Support operations readiness activities including configuration control boards and customer meetings.
• Modify existing operations procedures and develop new ones based on lessons learned from in-flight performance.
• Coordinate system maintenance tasks across multiple contractor organizations and external system partners.
• Perform quantitative risk analysis and provide 24x7 on-call support for system issues.
• Deliver status reports and technical briefings to internal and external customers using MS Office tools.

What we're looking for

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active or current Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for Level 3, or 8 years for Level 4.
• Knowledge and experience in satellite operations engineering disciplines including attitude control, power, thermal, propulsion, and command and data handling are required.
• Previous experience with troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and performing analysis on operational systems is required.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make persuasive presentations to external customers, are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field (preferred).
