What you'll do

  • Provide mission operations support for satellite programs including on-orbit vehicle and sustaining engineering.
  • Resolve system problems and anomalies through investigation, diagnosis, and data trending.
  • Lead and coordinate systems engineers during anomaly review board investigations.
  • Perform 24/7 on-call support to resolve critical system issues and anomalies.
  • Update and develop operational procedures based on lessons learned from in-flight performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks across multiple contractor organizations and external system partners.
  • Conduct briefings and demonstrations explaining how to use mission systems for specific objectives.
  • Perform quantitative risk analysis and provide status reporting to functional and program branches.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active or current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field is preferred (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for Level 3, or 8 years for Level 4.
  • Knowledge and experience in satellite operations engineering including attitude control, power management, thermal control, propulsion, and data handling.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, and performing analysis on operational systems.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to create technical documents and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations.
