Validation Specialist, Radiation Therapy

What you'll do

• Identify clinical workflow bottlenecks, missed opportunities, and critical features to prevent patient mistreatment or hazards.
• Ensure products are safe, effective, and meet intended use requirements through objective test evidence prior to release.
• Evaluate clinical practices and treatment techniques with Product Management and Engineering teams to define new requirements.
• Provide continuous feedback to improve the design, development, and modification of radiation and oncology products.
• Develop, modify, and execute design validation plans to meet specific product and system requirements.
• Participate in requirements analysis, use case development, and risk hazard analysis.
• Analyze and write test designs and procedures while establishing traceability to requirements and risk mitigations.
• Consult with cross-functional teams to resolve usability, software, and scope problems.

What we're looking for

• Must have current clinical certification/registration as a Radiation Therapist and five years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree and five years of Radiation Oncology clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist or Clinical Applications Specialist.
• Must have a thorough understanding of simulation, imaging, and treatment delivery clinical workflow scenarios in a radiation therapy center.
• Must be proficient with treatment delivery techniques including IMRT, VMAT, and stereotactic radiosurgeries (SRS/SBRT).
• Must have knowledge of radiation safety practices and safe handling of ionizing radiation equipment.
• Must be able to travel globally 5-25% to support validation efforts.
• Must be located in the Palo Alto region or willing to relocate to Palo Alto, California (preferred).
