The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer II joins a team dedicated to managing advanced technical operations within mission-critical data center environments. In this role, you will ensure the continuous availability and reliability of building management systems, utility plants, and HVAC infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities include inspecting heating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning equipment; managing water treatment chemicals for cooling towers; and overseeing electrical distribution systems including UPS units, PDUs, generators, and switchgear. You will also perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on rotating equipment like pumps and motors while monitoring Energy Management Control Systems. The role requires expertise in medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, mechanical HVAC systems, and building management automation controls. This position addresses the critical challenge of maintaining high-performance infrastructure and operational efficiency within a complex data center facility through proactive maintenance and vendor coordination.
Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems, chillers, air compressors, and heat exchangers to identify operational defects.
Manage electrical distribution systems including UPS units, PDUs, generators, and medium/low voltage switchgear.
Monitor and update Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Control Systems.
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements on rotating equipment like pumps and motors.
Manage water treatment chemicals for cooling towers and other critical facility systems.
Coordinate and supervise vendor activities related to utility plant mechanical and electrical systems.
Ensure the continuous availability and reliability of mission-critical data center infrastructure.
What we're looking for
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or a related field.
Alternatively, candidates must have 3 years of experience in technology infrastructure engineering across compute, storage, network, mobility, or virtualization technologies.
Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution including UPS, PDUs, generators, and emergency power systems is required.
Candidates must possess mechanical expertise in HVAC, chillers, pumps, and cooling systems within critical environments.
Proficiency in building management and automation controls (BMS) to monitor and optimize performance is required.
Ability to supervise and coordinate work on utility plant mechanical and electrical systems, including vendor coordination.
Willingness to support 24/7 operations, including night shifts and weekends, with high accountability.
