As a Software Engineer III on the Enterprise Compute Frontline team, you will design and develop automation solutions to improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of large-scale on-premises infrastructure. You will build self-service platforms, infrastructure automation, and operational tooling to support hardware lifecycle management, provisioning, and fleet-scale operations for over 70,000 servers. Your daily work involves troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and developing CI/CD pipelines to reduce operational toil. You will utilize expertise in Linux, VMware/Nutanix, and Kubernetes environments while leveraging Python, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies. This role solves critical infrastructure challenges by improving observability, incident response, and service reliability across a massive global hardware environment to ensure sustainable infrastructure growth and operational excellence.

What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Experience managing and automating large-scale Linux, VMware/Nutanix, and Kubernetes environments.
Strong expertise in Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD automation.
Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management, provisioning, break/fix operations, and reliability engineering.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production environments.
Experience improving observability, service reliability, and MTTR through automation.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area (preferred).
