The (USA) Senior, Software Engineer joins the Platform team to build applications that are easier to deploy, more reliable, and faster to move into production. You will work with developers to integrate and streamline workflows, review code, and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed. Your daily responsibilities include designing, developing, and automating products and tooling for cloud-based infrastructure. You will utilize technologies including OpenTelemetry, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Python, Docker, Argo, and Helm across Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure. The role focuses on improving observability, operability, security, reliability, and governance. You will solve technical problems related to large-scale infrastructure design, distributed systems, networking, and incident management while maintaining documentation and participating in support rotations to help developers with one-off requests.

What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
5 years of experience with software development and fluency in multiple programming languages.
2 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
Experience in distributed systems and networking.
Deep understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and tools such as GCP or Azure.
Experience with Docker, Argo, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience (preferred).
