As a Senior, Software Engineer on the Catalog Engineering team, you will develop high-performance, scalable Omni Catalog Services to support millions of customers. You will design and develop integrations with next-generation downstream applications using a micro-service architecture and an event-driven platform. Your daily responsibilities include building scalable catalog micro-services, managing catalog migrations to new platforms, and providing technical direction and architecture leadership. You will solve complex software systems problems by leveraging Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Python, Scala, and NoSql. The role requires expertise in RESTful Services, distributed system design, and internet-scale technologies like Solr, Kafka, and Mem Cache. You will also utilize cloud technologies such as AZURE, GCP, and OpenStack while managing DevOps, Chaos Engineering, and SRE tasks to ensure operational excellence.

What we're looking for

Demonstrate hands-on experience building n-tier applications using RESTful Services, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Python, and NoSQL.
Maintain working knowledge of cloud technologies such as AZURE, GCP, or OpenStack.
Have experience with internet-scale distributed technologies like Solr, Kafka, and Mem Cache.
Possess relevant experience with relational and no-sql databases.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
Show expertise in Java, Scala, Object Oriented and Functional Programming, and building APIs.
Provide experience in DevOps, Chaos Engineering, SRE, and on-call rotations.
Possess a Master's degree in a related field and 1 year of software engineering experience (preferred).
Demonstrate knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
