What you'll do

Design and maintain advanced frameworks to enhance Walmart's Marketplace capabilities for sellers and partners.
Drive the full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and incident response.
Architect and build intelligent software systems and AI-enhanced applications using Java, Python, and other languages.
Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance in distributed systems.
Provide strategic technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers to foster engineering excellence.
Translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical requirements and clear operational metrics.
Maintain architectural decision records to ensure transparency and alignment in technical planning and tradeoffs.
Oversee the management of the Marketplace Platform API gateway to empower third-party sellers.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 5 years of experience in software engineering.
Alternatively, must have 7 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
Must be able to design, code, debug, and optimize application health for high-availability distributed systems.
Must possess expertise in Java for backend services and ReactJS for frontend development.
Must be able to architect and build intelligent software systems using Python, Java, JavaScript, Dart, Rust, and C++.
Must be able to lead the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD deployment, observability, and incident response.
Must provide strategic technical guidance, mentorship, and supervision to engineers and their teams.
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 3 years of experience (preferred).
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
