As a Software Engineer III Payments Platform, you will join the Payouts group to design and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. You will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team, executing software solutions, technical troubleshooting, and production code development for critical payment processing platforms. Your daily responsibilities include creating architecture artifacts, maintaining algorithms, and developing visualizations from large data sets to drive system improvements. You will utilize modern programming languages, database querying languages, and enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation. The role requires expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. You will solve complex technical problems within a high-volume payments environment, ensuring secure and stable performance across various business functions.
Design and develop secure, high-quality production code and algorithms for scalable payment processing platforms.
Execute technical troubleshooting and develop solutions for complex problems beyond routine approaches.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and document code while validating outputs for security.
Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software code meets all specified design constraints.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to create visualizations and reports for continuous system improvement.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance automation and delivery speed.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine outputs for correctness and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency expectations.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred).
