The work involves collaborating with manufacturers, government agencies, and research centers to ensure that new technologies do not compromise existing airspace capacity or safety.

What you'll do

  • Provide expert knowledge in the operation of unmanned aircraft systems.
  • Develop comprehensive flight test plans and operational procedures.
  • Create briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
  • Perform testing on analog, digital, microwave, optical, and mechanical systems under various conditions.
  • Facilitate the safe and efficient integration of UAS into the National Airspace System.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and government agencies to support technical requirements.
  • Assess concepts and approaches to improve airport safety and efficiency using UAS platforms.

What we're looking for

  • Must be Part 107 Certified.
  • Must have 40 or more documented hours of safely operating UAS platforms.
  • Experience using flight planning software (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree in any field (preferred).
  • Skills include analytical thinking, flight operations, and flight planning.
  • Security Clearance Level: FAA Suitability Background.
