Familiarity with flight controllers and autopilot systems is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in an autonomous environment. Experience in battery handling and small UAS maintenance is preferred, as well as a willingness to travel extensively for up to 60% of your time.

What you'll do

Assist with test, system checkouts, and flight operations for Altius aircraft.
Build, program, and maintain autonomous fixed-wing aircraft for flight tests.
Work with Test Engineers on operational tasks to enable engineering projects.
Travel between test sites as required by testing requirements and team needs.
Maintain office supplies, clean facilities, manage inventory, and perform equipment maintenance.

What we're looking for

RC, RPIC, or PIC experience on fixed-wing commercial and/or defense Group 2 aircraft.
Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Part 107 certificate and complete FAA Part 61 ground school.
Strong knowledge of National Airspace regulations and operating restrictions for small UAS.
Experience with flight controllers and autopilot logic in autonomous aircraft systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills for diverse tasks.
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time between test sites as required.
