As a Tools and Automation Engineer on the Health Study QE team, you will support research into next-generation health sensing features by testing application software used to collect heart-rate data via ECG and PPG technologies along with novel investigative prototype sensors. You will utilize Swift and the Xcode UI automation framework to build automated tests. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across various hardware and software configurations within the health sensing product domain.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Swift and the Xcode UI automation framework.
Test application software for macOS, iOS, and watchOS that interfaces with firmware and sensor data.
Create detailed test plans covering all system functionalities and edge cases.
Execute automated test plans across a wide variety of hardware and software configurations.
Build creative tools, fixtures, and methodologies to stress test software features.
Document test cases and code used for execution while tracking performance metrics.
Report results to management and drive technical issues to resolution.

What we're looking for

High proficiency in Swift and strong software development/test automation skills.
Experience developing iOS test automation with the Xcode UI automation framework.
Experience developing robust and repeatable automated testing solutions.
Ability to author detailed test plans, document test cases, and track performance results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
BS degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
MS in Computer Science plus 3 years of experience (preferred).
Experience with UI/UX design or testing, CI systems, and shipping consumer products (preferred).
