Tier II Linux Administrator - TS/SCI with Polygraph

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing physical and VDI-based Windows and Linux workstations, troubleshooting user functionality, and resolving performance issues for both Linux and Windows applications. The successful candidate will utilize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and LDAP to resolve incidents with long-term solutions. Required technical skills include experience with RHEL 6/7/8, CentOS, and various file sharing protocols like Samba and NFS. The role addresses the critical need for stable infrastructure within a federal intelligence agency contract, requiring a professional capable of managing complex systems across geographically dispersed teams.
Provide Tier II support for large enterprise environments involving both Windows and RHEL operating systems.
Manage physical and VDI-based workstations across multiple security enclaves.
Troubleshoot user, workstation, and application functionality to resolve performance issues and incidents.
Identify and analyze technical problems to implement both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
Provide remote end-user support for geographically dispersed team members.
Manage core network services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and LDAP.
Resolve issues for common office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and various web browsers.
Utilize ticketing systems like ServiceNow or NETS to track and manage service requests.
What we're looking for
Must be a United States citizen.
Must possess an active Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph clearance.
Must hold a current DoD Information Assurance (IA) certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
CompTIA Security+ CE is the preferred IA certification.
Must have at least 8 years of related systems administration experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Fedora) and Windows Server environments is required.
