The Core Compliance, Engineering and Insider Threat, Vice President, Dallas role is situated within the Global Compliance division as part of the Americas Core Compliance team. This position provides specialized compliance coverage for the Engineering division, focusing specifically on governance, conduct risk models, and insider threat risks. The successful candidate will perform risk identification, monitor regulatory compliance, investigate potential breaches, and develop training programs to educate staff on firm policies. Key responsibilities include advising on the firmwide Insider Threat Program, conducting forensic testing, and performing regulatory horizon scanning for laws regarding fraud, technology, cybersecurity, information security, data governance, and artificial intelligence. The role requires expertise in interpreting jurisdictional regulations, managing conduct investigations, and communicating complex risk themes to senior leadership while ensuring engineering-owned conduct risk models align with global standards and firmwide requirements.
Advise the Engineering division on governance, risk matters, and technology risk management.
Manage and advise on the firmwide Insider Threat Program to meet regulatory expectations.
Investigate potential insider threat activities and conduct breaches in partnership with control groups.
Perform regular regulatory horizon scanning to identify and implement changes for new laws and rules.
Develop and deliver compliance training and communications to the Engineering division and other core functions.
Write and update policies, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Conduct compliance testing and forensics to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
Brief senior leadership on identified risks and coordinate firmwide compliance initiatives.
What we're looking for
At least 6-8+ years of work experience as a Compliance officer or in a risk management role.
Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree in information security or risk management is preferred.
Experience reading and interpreting jurisdictional regulations, laws, and statutes.
Understanding of the global regulatory environment regarding insider threat, fraud, technology, cyber security, data governance, and artificial intelligence.
Experience managing conduct investigations related to breaches in firm policy or ethical standards.
Experience conducting business-facing trainings.
Experience in insider threat, technology, or conduct incident reporting, including regulatory reporting (preferred).
Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory audits and inquiries.
