Test Specialist

What you'll do

• Ensure optical test systems and areas are operating properly.
• Perform first level triage of test failures by interpreting logs and telemetry.
• Build and validate automated hardware test systems for production environments.
• Fabricate and repair cable harnesses using crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
• Design and implement assembly fixtures and shop aides to improve manufacturing processes.
• Create and support equipment maintenance and calibration schedules.
• Identify design gaps and update documentation to prevent recurrence.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment OR a bachelor's degree in an engineering, math or science discipline.
• AS or BS degree in a technical or engineering field (preferred).
• Proficient with standard computer software, CAD software (NX, TeamCenter), and programming (Python, C++) (preferred).
• Experience with production and environmental testing for electronic assemblies, Linux environments, and networking (preferred).
• Developed and deployed software that has been used in real world projects (Python preferred) (preferred).
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive assembly operations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for Department of State authorization.
