You will utilize knowledge of cellular protocol stacks, including PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, and NAS, alongside mobile services like iMessage and Find My. The work focuses on enabling reliable ground-to-satellite-to-user performance for critical communication services in off-grid environments.

What you'll do

Own the roadmap for test platforms and systems spanning UE-network interface validation and end-to-end Apple services testing.
Manage cross-functional dependencies across baseband firmware, protocol stack software, RF hardware, and network simulation teams.
Build and maintain network simulation environments for protocol conformance, regression, and stress testing.
Develop tooling to validate device behavior across Apple services like iMessage, Find My, and location services.
Build infrastructure to generate evidence packages for operators, including automated test reports and protocol conformance summaries.
Establish processes to characterize the network impact of software changes and trigger appropriate regression suites.
Define qualification gates for test tools and lead retrospectives on tool-related defects or regressions.
Act as the central program interface to drive technical objectives and track deliverables across internal and external teams.

What we're looking for

5+ years of systems engineering and technical program management experience.
BS in EE, CS, or an equivalent degree.
Solid understanding of the cellular protocol stack (L1–L3) and UE–network signaling flows (preferred).
Hands-on experience with network simulation or callbox environments for protocol and RF testing (preferred).
Familiarity with mobile services architecture and how applications interact with network and cloud infrastructure (preferred).
Understanding of Apple Push Notification service, iMessage delivery architecture, or Find My network protocols (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across engineering, program, and vendor stakeholder groups (preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt styles for different audiences (preferred).
