The Technology Development Program (TECDP) - Software Engineering Track - Start Date: July 12, 2027 is a two-year program for Full-Time Associates designed to build technical expertise and a holistic understanding of how technology fuels healthcare transformation. Associates in this track will design and deliver scalable software solutions to improve healthcare outcomes while collaborating with peers and mentors on hands-on projects, recruiting support, and innovation efforts. The role requires proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL, along with experience in prompt engineering. Candidates should possess skills in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI. This position focuses on solving real-world healthcare challenges by applying academic knowledge to build and maintain applications that drive better patient outcomes.
Design and deliver scalable software solutions to improve healthcare outcomes.
Build and maintain applications that drive innovation within the healthcare industry.
Complete a structured curriculum of technical training and leadership development.
Execute hands-on projects involving recruiting support, innovation efforts, and community initiatives.
Apply coding skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL to real-world problems.
Utilize emerging AI technologies and prompt engineering to solve complex technical challenges.
Analyze complex problems to create innovative solutions for the organization.
What we're looking for
Must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire.
Preferred degrees include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering.
Degrees in Data Science, AI, Math, Bioinformatics, or Healthcare Analytics are considered if paired with strong coding experience and software development principles.
Must have familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
Must have academic coursework, research, or internships focused on machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI.
Must be able to work a hybrid schedule of at least three days per week onsite in Morris Plains, NJ, St. Louis, MO, or Bloomington, MN.
Exposure to real-world applications of AI in healthcare or other industries is a plus (preferred).
