Technical Project/Program Manager, Automation

What you'll do

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle including requirements gathering, vendor coordination, and production handoff.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of controls engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, and operations.
• Track and manage project timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate design reviews, FAT/SAT testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems.
• Develop and maintain project documentation such as charters, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
• Analyze business processes to identify automation and control opportunities that align with business goals.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and technical guidance to stakeholders and senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• Strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills are required to manage complex projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve automation, control, and data connectivity issues.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and/or IoT technologies.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMP, Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Manufacturing industry experience (preferred).
• Automation experience at or with system integrators (preferred).
• Vision systems for guided robotics and/or inspection (preferred).
• IoT product architecture (preferred).
• PMP certification (preferred).
