TL;DR · Technical Program Management Director

Technical Program Management, Director leads enterprise platform engineering programs covering cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, shared services, security, reliability, and application delivery. The role involves translating platform strategy into executable roadmaps, managing complex technical dependencies, and establishing governance for architecture reviews, engineering standards, and production readiness. You will build out capabilities such as container orchestration, infrastructure automation, continuous integration and delivery, observability, identity and access management, and infrastructure as code to improve developer experience and operational reliability. The position requires expertise in distributed systems, networking, site reliability engineering, and software delivery pipelines. This role addresses the challenge of modernizing shared technology services while ensuring security, scalability, and resilience within a regulated environment involving payments and financial technology. You will coordinate migration planning, risk remediation, and capacity requirements to ensure seamless service delivery across various product teams.

What you'll do

  • Lead large-scale platform engineering programs from initial architecture and planning through production readiness and operational adoption.
  • Align technical roadmaps, infrastructure requirements, and budget constraints with enterprise technology strategy and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish technical governance for architecture reviews, security controls, release readiness, and service-level objectives.
  • Provide executive leadership with visibility into roadmap progress, technical debt, risk management, and delivery performance.
  • Facilitate decision-making across stakeholder groups to resolve conflicting priorities and manage complex dependencies.
  • Coordinate production readiness activities including migration planning, disaster recovery, and post-launch adoption tracking.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience through automated pipelines and self-service capabilities.
  • Develop standardized program management templates and delivery practices to ensure consistent execution across all programs.

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of experience in program or project management leading enterprise-level initiatives across business, product, and technology teams.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex technology programs involving cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, distributed systems, automation, and site reliability.
  • 8+ years of experience applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models to engineering programs including release planning and risk remediation.
  • Experience translating technical trade-offs, security risks, and debt into clear recommendations for executive leadership and governance forums.
  • Working knowledge of cloud architecture, APIs, distributed systems, networking, IAM, container platforms, and infrastructure as code.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technology, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
  • Experience in regulated industries like banking or fintech is preferred.
