What you'll do

  • Implement and train state-of-the-art machine learning models for tactile-enabled robotic systems.
  • Optimize and deploy machine learning models on physical hardware while addressing sim-to-real gaps.
  • Curate and generate training data from simulations and real-world demonstrations to cover complex contact physics.
  • Establish evaluation metrics and testing protocols to benchmark the performance of robotic policies.
  • Develop software solutions that integrate haptics, motion planning, and control systems.
  • Document research findings, methodologies, and technical developments for internal sharing and publication.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience successfully deploying tactile-based policies in robotics.
  • 6+ years of experience in robotics and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ for complex, multi-language systems.
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Strong software engineering skills to deliver clean, well-tested, and optimized code.
  • Functional understanding of tactile sensing and haptics technologies.
  • Foundation in robot kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control.
