What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Azure for ingesting and transforming data into Databricks and Snowflake.
Implement ELT/ETL processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across diverse sources.
Create and optimize data models and database schemas for structured and unstructured data storage.
Manage and migrate on-premise applications to cloud infrastructure using Azure services.
Implement security measures including RBAC and ABAC to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and identify performance bottlenecks in database systems.
Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system configurations for the development team.
Provide technical leadership by managing multiple database instances and performing complex query tuning.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject.
12+ years of overall IT industry experience.
8+ years of overall data pipeline and Data Warehousing experience.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer focusing on Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
5+ years of experience in cloud-based development including Azure Services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Scala or Java.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases including Snowflake, Teradata, SQLServer, and Oracle.
Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect (preferred).
