The Systems Software Engineer, Information Security joins the Apple Information Security team to protect data in transit and at rest. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable services and platforms that enable secure operations across the organization. You will support the development of embedded systems to enhance the security posture, perform root cause analysis, and tune products for resiliency in hostile environments. Key requirements include proficiency in systems programming languages like Swift, C, C++, or Objective-C, along with knowledge of operating system fundamentals, framework and daemon development, and CI/CD practices. You must understand network security, applied cryptography, and authentication protocols like OAuth, OpenID, and SAML. The work involves solving complex security problems through automation, tooling, and testing within a multi-functional environment.

What we're looking for
Strong skills in common systems programming languages.
Understanding of operating system fundamentals.
Experience with framework and daemon development.
Experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycle processes.
Experience in continuous development practices such as CI/CD, rollbacks, canaries, and feature flags.
Understanding of configuration management technologies, security issues, protocols, and authentication/authorization frameworks like OAuth/OpenID/SAML.
Working knowledge of network security and applied cryptography.
