The Systems Engineering Intern will join the engineering team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. This role involves performing operational analysis, developing concept of operations, and creating design and implementation plans. The intern will be responsible for developing test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing systems requirements from end systems and users, utilizing software tools, scripting, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Additionally, the role requires delivering presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers. The position requires skills in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, performance modeling, and project management. Candidates may also utilize Rhapsody for model-based systems engineering tasks within a defense technology context focused on mission-critical requirements across multiple domains.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and user needs.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering (preferred).
