Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Drive systems thinking, processes, and capabilities for core products including Altius, Anvil, Bolt, and Ghost.
• Partner with product leads to scope, staff, and deliver capabilities to achieve company milestones.
• Drive architectural design for safety, reliability, usability, and maintainability across systems and subsystems.
• Define system requirements and verification and validation strategies for system of systems and subsystem assemblies.
• Execute and manage System Hazard Analyses (SHAs) and subsystem Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FME(C)As).
• Coordinate and execute test events ranging from in-lab software simulations to flight tests.
• Interpret and apply defense standard requirements such as STANAG and MIL-STD for safety and interoperability.
• Lead complex technical initiatives autonomously to deliver outcomes across multiple programs simultaneously.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in defense or safety-critical industry, specifically with safety-critical development standards and reliability analysis.
• Experience writing verifiable system-level, subsystem-level, and software/hardware/component-level requirements.
• Experience conducting safety and reliability analyses such as PHAs, SHAs, FME(C)As, or FTAs.
• Experience and proficiency with systems and Python.
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and automation of tests.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. security clearance.
• Experience developing electromechanical system models (preferred).
