The Systems Architect, Retail and Marcom Engineering joins the Marcom Engineering team to set the technical direction for cloud infrastructure, delivery platforms, and operational excellence programs. You will define multi-year roadmaps for DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, and cloud architecture while leading the integration of intelligent automation and LLM-powered developer tooling. Key responsibilities include establishing architecture standards, overseeing major infrastructure migrations, and developing strategies for AI/ML workload delivery, including model training and inference serving. You must demonstrate expertise in AWS and GCP, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code solutions such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Ansible. Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java is required to build automation. This role solves complex problems regarding platform reliability, scalability, and global content delivery for large-scale web properties.
Define and own the multi-year technical roadmap for DevOps infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, and cloud architecture.
Establish architecture standards, reference designs, and platform blueprints for organization-wide adoption.
Lead the integration of AI-driven automation, LLM-powered developer tooling, and intelligent operations into engineering processes.
Develop and execute platform strategies for AI/ML workload delivery, including model training and inference serving.
Oversee major infrastructure migrations, platform consolidations, and large-scale architectural re-designs.
Implement company-wide initiatives to boost developer productivity, expedite deployment, and enhance platform reliability.
Design platforms for reliability, observability, and security in collaboration with SRE, Security, and Compliance teams.
Mentor senior engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and provide technical feedback to improve engineering standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), including network topology, identity and access management, cost governance, and multi-account strategy.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, service mesh).
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible), configuration management, state management, modularity, and GitOps.
Experience designing and operating CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Spinnaker, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and creating pipelines for large teams.
Proficiency in at least two systems programming languages (Python, Go, Java) for tooling and automation.
15+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, especially in fast-paced, large-scale consumer-facing technology environments (preferred).
