The Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III joins the APEX Vulnerability Management team to maintain and secure Mac and Windows devices and managed applications. You will build scalable, automated solutions to reduce manual remediation effort and ensure compliance with security standards. Key responsibilities include analyzing device data, defining requirements for software delivery platforms, and documenting procedures using version control. The position requires proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages like Python and PowerShell, along with experience in configuration management platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or SCCM. You will solve technical problems to protect critical infrastructure and ensure seamless business operations across various operating systems and hardware.
Perform patch management and routine maintenance to keep devices and managed applications current.
Identify and resolve gaps in update and auto-update processes with partner teams.
Conduct vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security risks across endpoints.
Use automation tools and scripting to streamline workflows and reduce manual remediation.
Define requirements for endpoint and software delivery platforms to improve automated updates.
Analyze device and vulnerability data to set priorities and track results.
Document procedures, maintain version control, and follow coding standards and security policies.
What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 2 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering.
Option 2: 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies.
3+ years of experience in infrastructure maintenance, including patch management and performance monitoring.
Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar.
Experience with endpoint or configuration management platforms such as Intune, Jamf, or SCCM.
Understanding of vulnerability management and security best practices.
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area (preferred).
